3 Punjabi residents killed as car fall in gorge in Nagrota Jammu

Jammu: Three Punjab residents were killed when a “speeding” car they were travelling in fell down into gorge in Nagrota area of Jammu on Friday.

Official sources told GNS that celerio car (PB6SAF-4794) driven by Gurdeep Singh son of Gurtej Singh of Moga Punjab with two others persons on board was on its way from Udhampur towards Jammu when itv met with the accident near Jambhu Zoo  along the Highway.

A police officer told GNS that the driver apparently lost control over the vehicle due to “high speed”. Besides Gurdeep, the driver, he said, two other persons Sham Lal son of Bhadur Ram and Vikas Kumar son of Ranjit Kumar, both residents of Firozpur Punjab died on the spot. He said bodies were shifted to GMC Jammu for postmortem.

A case (FIR no. 178/2022) under section 279/304-A IPC stands registered in Police station Nagrota, the officer added. (GNS)
