Srinagar, Jan 3: Kashmiri separatist group All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) on Tuesday condemned the killing of six people including two children in twin attacks in Rajouri district of Jammu region.
In a statement APHC headed by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq expressed concern over the killings.
“APHC is in principle against all forms of killings and violence,” the statement said.
Four civilians were gunned down by militants in Dangri village in Rajouri district in Jammu on the evening of January 1. And next morning, two children died and few others were injured in an IED blast in the village.
Expressing sympathy and solidarity with the families of the deceased and people of Rajouri, Hurriyat said it shares their grief and prays for speedy recovery of the injured.
“Indiscriminate and irreparable loss of human lives in Jammu & Kashmir is the tragedy of this region which we are witnessing for the last more than three decades. To break this vortex and address the root cause, Hurriyat has always advocated dialogue among stakeholders,” the APHC statement said, adding that “unilateral decisions and actions cannot undo the conflict nor end it.”
