Leopard cub captured in Ganderbal village

Ganderbal: One more leopard cub was captured in Kralkhani Hatan Palpora area of Kangan in central Kashmir’s Gandarbal district by the Wildlife Department, officials said here.

This is the second leopard captured in a span of 48 hours in the district.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the cub was captured after the department received information about its presence in the area.

He said the wild animal was roaming in the residential area, thereby posing a danger to people and their livestock.

The official said the leopard and was subsequently released in the sanctuary—(KNO)
