Srinagar: A Katra resident was found dead in Batamaloo area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Saturday afternoon.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the man identified as Rakesh Kumar (40) of Katra was found unconscious in Batamaloo bus stand.

He said soon after a police team reached to the spot and he was taken to SMHS hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, a senior police official told KNO that the man may have died due to drugs overdose, however, they are still ascertaining the facts—(KNO)
