Article 35-A row: Business fraternity to protest from Tuesday

SRINAGAR, JULY 30:  The amalgam of business fraternity of Kashmir today announced to begin protest in support of the article 35-A from Tuesday.

The business fraternity which is an amalgam of traders and business associations of Kashmir in a press conference held in Srinagar also extends supported the JRL shutdown call for August 5 and 6.

“We will start protesting from tomorrow against those who are tying to change the demography of the state,” said Mohammad Yasin Khan while addressing reporters here.

“Even if we have to give our blood, we will save the special status of our state,” Khan said. Khan also said that business fraternity across the state of Jammu and Kashmir was with them.

The business fraternity appealed Supreme Court of India to dismiss the PILs filed against the article 35A which gives special status to the state.

The Supreme Court is hearing on petitions challenging Article 35A of the Indian constitution on August 6. (PTK)
