ARTO Sopore’s sudden transfer raises eyebrows

Srinagar, Aug 11 (GNS): The sudden transfer of an official from Sopore has raised many eyebrows. Some say it is because of his strict rules in office.

Syed Noor Ud Din Andrabi according to a government vide order number 31/TR of 2018, dated 27/03/2018 was transferred and posted as ARTO Baramulla vice Jamsheed Rasool Choudhary.

After remaining ARTO only for four months in Baramulla, most of the people said that a group of people running a mafia who used their influences and got the officer transferred.

Reliable sources said that some employees at ARTO Baramulla were unhappy with Noor Din’s posting as ARTO, as the employees in league with the agents allegedly are running what they say “driving license mafia” since long. Soon after Noor Din’s posting as ARTO Baramulla, he made some strict measures which were pro-people and tried his best to make an end to the agent system which was the only reason to get the officer transferred within only four months

Syed Noor din Andrabi is known for ending the ‘license mafia’ in North Kashmir’s Sopore soon after he was appointed ARTO Sopore. (GNS)
