Srinagar, Sept 25: BJP
senior leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta on Friday
lambasted on NC President Farooq Abdullah over his remarks that “people
of J&K do not feel Indian at this moment and would rather be ruled
by China” and said it exposes his “mental frustration”.
According
to Kashmir News Service, BJP leader Gupta said that it was NC
President’s “mental frustration” on which he spoke against the integrity
and sovereignty of the country.
“Dr
Farooq has got mentally frustrated. His is responsible for the death
and destruction in Jammu and Kashmir. He think people of J&K is with
him which is his misconception”, Gupta said.
Terming
Article 370 a “fistula”, Gupta said that Dr Farooq Abdullah like people
and those in Hurriyat misled people of Jammu and Kashmir for decades
over it however it was BJP who took the bold decision of scrapping it
once for all.
“Article 370 was a
fistula (nasoor) and BJP abrogated it once for all. Dr Farooq like
people have no courage to speak over it in the Parliament against the
national sovereignty and integrity”, BJP leader said adding he was given
enough time to speak in the house but he again resorted to his dual
politics which he is playing with the people of Jammu and Kashmir since
decades and raised issues other than abrogation of Article 370 and
35(A).
Hitting hard to NC President,
former speaker of J&K Assembly said Dr Farooq is fond of dual
speak. “He is talking one think in Srinagar, one in Jammu and another in
New Delhi and thereby cheating people for his political interests”,
Gupta added.
He said when a resident
of J&K can purchase land or property in any part of the country why
people from other parts will not be allowed to purchase the same in
J&K.
BJP leader said that
earlier militancy in Kashmir was on its peak, people were participating
in thousands in militants funeral procession, stone pelting incidents
were on rise however after scrapping of Article 370 there is a complete
peace in valley.
“Militancy has
almost been wiped out, no one is participating in last rites of
militants, stone pelting has declined and it happened only when Article
370 was abolished”, Kavinder Gupta has said.
He
said in times to come foreign investors are going to approach Jammu and
Kashmir for huge investment which will throw the gates of employees for
local youth. (KNS)
