HDFC Bank launches employee sports competition Josh Unlimited 2017 in Srinagar

One of the largest employee events of its kind by any corporate in India

HDFC Bank Ltd., launched the 6th edition of its annual sports competition for its employees in Srinagar, today. This event, known as Josh Unlimited, is a platform for the bank employees to participate in multiple sports such as Cricket, Football, Badminton, Athletics, Carom, Chess, Volleyball, Box Cricket, Lagori, and Table Tennis, among others. The competition will be organised in 29 cities across India.

The event in Srinagar was held at Tyndale Biscoe School near Lal Chowkin Srinagar. Over 400 employees and their families participated, from Srinagar as well as neighbouring towns such as Baramulla, Anantnag, Pulwama, and Sopore. Josh Unlimited was inaugurated by chief guest ADC, Srinagar; guest of honour Mr.Parvez Samuel Koul, Principal, Tyndale Biscoe School, and Mr.Zubair Iqbal, Circle Head–Jammu & Kashmir, HDFC Bank in the presence of all the participants and senior bank officials.

Josh Unlimited is one of the largest sports events for employees in the country. Last year, more than 17,000 employees of HDFC Bank participated in the competition held at 27 locations over a period of five months.

Speaking about the event, Ms.Naina Panse, Head – Employee Engagement, HDFC Bank, said: “As a responsible corporate citizen we encourage all our employees to make sport a part of their lives, and provide platforms such as Josh Unlimited to enable this. Through this event, employees working at different locations come together for a day of friendly competition. Josh Unlimited helps them build team spirit and camaraderie in a more informal setting.”
