Srinagar, October 7: Jammu
and Kashmir Government may conclude 3rd phase of outreach
developmental programme two days before the scheduled date due to crop
harvesting season coinciding with programme schedule.
A senior official said that the decision has been taken to culminate
the ambitious developmental programme on 10th of October which was
earlier decided to end by 12th October.
People in rural areas are busy with harvesting paddy and apples at this
time of year, a senior official said, “Attendance was thin at most of
the places. Majority of people in rural areas are busy in harvesting.
So for the benefit of the people administration decided to end the
programme two days before its schedule,” he said.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited Kupwara, Kulgam, Shopian and
Bandipora to push the developmental agenda of his administration and
review progress of the programme on the ground.
“He is very sincere and serious about development of rural areas but
decided to call off the programme before scheduled date for the benefit
of the people so that they can attend due to their crop,” he said.

(B2V) programme is not for one person, Panchayat or district, but for
the whole UT and everyone should come forward to own it and play their
important role to uplift the socio-economic condition of rural J&K.
The LG had convened a meeting with all the Deputy Commissioners and
SPs across the UT, through video-conferencing, a day before the launch
of B2V3programme.
The LG invited
innovative ideas and suggestions from all stakeholders and asked the
officers to apply them to provide best services to the people.
He had directed the officers to fully utilize various communication
tools to spread massive awareness about the programme so that it can
reach the maximum population.
Real-time feedback should be recorded by visiting officers regarding
reach of various government services, status of 100 percent saturation
of different social security and individual beneficiary-oriented schemes
and analyzed report shall be submitted on the same, the LG had
maintained.
