‘Pilgrim injured in engine blast in Srinagar’

Srinagar, July 1: A 40-year-old Amarnath pilgrim suffered injuries after an engine of a vehicle exploded in Lasjan area of Srinagar outskirts on Sunday.

SSP Srinagar district Imtiaz Ismail Parray said that the pilgrim suffered injuries after the engine of the vehicle in which he was travelling in, exploded in Lasjan area today late in the afternoon.

“The blast caused due to some technical snag in the engine and we are still investigating the incident,” he said.

The pilgrim has been immediately hospitalized and his condition is stated to be stable. (GNS)
