#RohingyaGenocide: Protests turn violent in Anantnag, policemen beaten

The peaceful pro-Rohingya protests turned violent in Anantnag after the state government forces resorted to heavy tear smoke shelling to disperse the peaceful protesters.

Rising Kashmir has learnt that following the clashes between youth and forces, youth set ablaze rakshak vehicle of Jammu Kashmir police near DC Office Anantnag.

Reportedly, the rakshak vehicle belonged to Janglat Mandi police post

Several policemen were also thrashed by youth as police fired tear gas shells on peaceful protests.

Intense clashes were going on at Lal Chowk Anantnag when this report was filed.

Also, Sub Inspector Majid was severely beaten up as protesters.

The officer has been taken to district hospital Anantnag for treatment.

Protests have also spread to Reshi Bazar and other adjacent areas.
